Windows 7 Update Crashed my computer?

I think the same update crashed my computer. My computer updated last night and wouldn't boot windows this morning. Try entering safe mode. I've been told to rapidly press F8 or F5 as the computer starts up, so I rapidly pressed both (not sure which it was but it worked). I picked a restore point that took place before the last two updates (about a week ago). That worked for me. If it doesn't for you, see if you can copy your files to an external harddrive or thumb drive while in safe mode so you don't lose anything if you have to take more drastic measures.
