Did you get induced if so what exactly happens how long were you in labor ?

i am scheduled to be induced tue because i am 3 days over due and tue i will be 5 days overdue so my doctor scheduled for me to go in tue at 5 pm and get cervical ripening done not sure what exactly that means i guess its something they put inside your vagina the size of a tampon not sure its supposed to soften my cervix tho i guess and then they are going to start pitocin thro an iv wed has anyone else been induced ? how did it go ? how long did labor take after they started ? just wondering i am a bit nervous about getting induced i want to try and go naturally with out and pain meds or an epidural but i am scarred getting induced might make me change my mind about getting the drugs so any ways any advice / story's ?
